Going Open: Policy Recommendations on Open Education in Europe brings policy recommendations at regional, national and EU levels to foster open education in all education sectors. The report can be found at http://bit.ly/openedupolicies . This study drew upon different sets of data to design the policy recommendations, to include: data provided by ministries, literature in the field, data gathered during the workshop in Seville, and data discussed at the UNESCO – European expert consultation, which took place in Malta in 2017 as part of the II UNESCO OER World Congress –occasion in which the JRC coordinated the discussion on policies.
Policy Approaches to Open Education – Case Studies from 28 EU Member States provides an analysis of current policies on open education across Europe. The report can be found athttp://bit.ly/policyapproaches. For this report, ministries of education, science and technology have been approached to present and discuss their current and planned open education policies. The policies are categorised and analysed against the 10 dimensions of open education of the OpenEdu Framework.
